Cultured marble is a homogenous blend of calcium carbonate, coloring agents, resin, MEKP, and other fillers. In its original form, it is a thick liquid that is cast in molds and must harden and cure before it is removed from the molds and is hand polished. Athenian Marble Co., in conjunction with chemists and experts from numerous related fields, has developed a formula based on the best available products that achieve the best compatibility between components. We believe this formulation produces the best all-around properties to be found in any cultured marble products. Cultured marble gains its water resistance, stain resistance, and high gloss shine from a gelcoat finish that is applied to the molds before they are cast. This finish is very similar to a fiberglass boat or car and can be cared for with products recommended for these and similar items. A 'Use and Care Sheet' is provided with each purchase. The high gloss finish allows for easy cleaning and low maintenance. Cultured marble comes in both 3/4" and 3/8" thick material and may be customized with a 1 ½" Edge Profile.

Marble window sills come in standard widths of 4", 5" or 6" from ¾" thick material. Maximum length is 144". When window sills are installed by Athenian Marble Corp., they may be ordered as 'eared' or 'non-eared'. When shipped or ordered for customer pickup, sills can only be ordered as non-eared. You may also choose to order in standard 10' lengths and Custom Cut the sills to your application. All window sill ends are sanded saw cuts and are not finish polished. Custom widths are also available.

Cultured marble showers offer a fantastic way to minimize the maintenance and problems associated with typical tile shower installations. Highly polished surfaces make cleaning much easier than any other typical shower surface. Add luxury, resale value, and style to your bath. The only joints are corner joints, or joints in wall panels wider that 60" or taller than 96", that are sealed with 100% pure silicone. Athenian Marble Corp. offers both Standard Shower Pans or Custom Sized Shower Floors with a maximum size of 60" x 96". Cultured Marble Shower Accessories are also available for use with any cultured marble shower. Accessories may also be used with tile installations. Contact Athenian Marble Corp. for site preparation instructions. Cultured Marble Showers are only available as an installed product or to experienced contractors. Cultured Marble Showers are not recommended for steam shower applications. Custom Shower Floors are not available for use with tile wall construction.

Custom sized and shaped tub decks provide a low maintenance option that can be shaped in any freeform design you can imagine up to a total size of 82" x 118". The skirting may also be used in curves or radius as small as 12".
